This Terms of Service ("Agreement") is entered into between you ("User") and SCNET ("we", "us") regarding your use of the Cat Translator application ("App").

By downloading, installing, or using this App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

If you are under 14 years old (mainland China) or 13 years old (other regions), you must use this App under parental supervision, and your guardian must accept this Agreement on your behalf.

Cat Translator provides the following core features:

• Cat Language Translation: Converts human speech into simulated cat sounds, or interprets cat sounds into human-readable content (entertainment only, AI-generated).
• Cat Recognition: Analyzes cat appearance and emotion through uploaded or captured photos using AI.
• Entertainment: Interactive cat games and video content.
• Membership Subscription: Paid members enjoy unlimited translations, more recognition credits, and premium features.

In accordance with applicable regulations on AI-generated content (including China's "Provisions on the Administration of Deep Synthesis Internet Information Services"), we disclose:

• All audio and text produced by the Cat Language Translation feature is synthesized by artificial intelligence and does not represent any real cat's actual intentions or emotions.
• All analysis results from the Cat Recognition feature are AI-generated, provided for entertainment only, and are not scientifically accurate.
• AI-generated content within the App will be appropriately labeled in the interface and output results.
• Users may not use AI-generated content from this App to deceive, mislead others, or engage in any unlawful activity.

This App does not provide deepfake face-swapping or voice cloning functionalities.

This App uses device ID for automatic login — no username or password registration is required. Your account is tied to your device.

• You must ensure the device is lawfully owned and operated by you.
• You are responsible for all activity occurring through your device.
• Changing devices may prevent automatic migration of account data (e.g., membership status). You may restore purchases through App Store / Google Play.
• You must not use technical means to forge or tamper with device information to bypass subscription verification.

You agree not to:

• Decompile, reverse-engineer, crack, or modify the App without authorization;
• Use the App to distribute unlawful content, including but not limited to pornography, violence, terrorism, or fraud;
• Use App-generated content for commercial purposes without our written consent;
• Access the App through automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.);
• Attack or interfere with the App's servers or networks;
• Collect other users' personal information;
• Distribute unauthorized copies of the App.

The App and all its content (including but not limited to text, graphics, audio, algorithms, source code, trademarks, and UI design) are the intellectual property of SCNET or its licensors, protected under Chinese and international copyright laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal device for non-commercial personal use only.

You retain ownership of cat photos and audio content you upload. However, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content to provide and improve our services (including AI model optimization). You may delete your data through the app settings if you do not consent.

This App offers membership subscriptions and Fish Treat (virtual currency) top-ups. All paid transactions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the respective platform's payment terms. Some basic features are free to use without a subscription.

Subscription Plans Overview

• Fish Treats are the App's exclusive virtual currency, used for translations, recognition analyses, and other features.
• Upon subscribing, your account will receive a complimentary allocation of Fish Treats at the start of each billing cycle. The exact quantity is specified on the subscription details page.
• Gifted Fish Treats do not carry over between billing cycles; unused Fish Treats expire at the end of each cycle.
• Fish Treats can only be used within this App and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
• For subscription details (pricing, billing cycles, benefits, and refund policy), please see the Subscription Terms.
• Subscriptions auto-renew; you will be notified by the platform before renewal.
• Refund requests must be submitted through the respective platform (App Store / Google Play).

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Cat translation and recognition results are for entertainment only and do not constitute professional advice.
• We are not liable for service unavailability caused by network interruptions, device compatibility issues, or third-party service failures.
• Third-party content and external links in the entertainment section are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for their content.
• We are not responsible for any actions users take toward their pets based on App results.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SCNET shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data loss, or loss of goodwill) arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the three months preceding the claim, or USD 10 (or equivalent), whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be announced within the App or on our official page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified Agreement.

We may suspend or terminate your access in the following circumstances:

• You violate this Agreement;
• Required by law or regulation;
• We decide to discontinue the App.

Upon termination, any active subscriptions will remain valid until the end of the current billing period and will not renew thereafter.

Users in Mainland China: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if unsuccessful, either party may bring the matter before a competent People's Court at SCNET's place of domicile.

Users in other regions: This Agreement is governed by the applicable laws of your jurisdiction. Both parties agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), conducted in English, with the award being final and binding. Statutory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
